CBI Arrests A Branch Manager Of Allahabad Bank In A Bribery Case
INVC, Delhi, The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Branch Manager (Scale-III) of Allahabad Bank for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant. A case was registered on 23.5.2013 by CBI on a complaint U/s 7 of P. C. Act, 1988 against the Branch Manager (Scale III), Allahabad Bank, Karanjkheda Branch, Distt. Aurangabad (Maharashtra) for demanding bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from the complainant as a reward for sanctioning him loan of Rs. 5 lakhs. Later on, the accused agreed to accept part payment. Thereafter, a trap was laid and the Branch Manager was caught red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000/-. Search at his residence at Aurangabad and Ullahasnagar is in progress. The arrested accused will be produced before the Special Judge, Aurangabad tomorrow.
