Carnival for children with special needs and their parents & siblings conducted effectively

The Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Sector-31, Chandigarh is observing the World disability week from  27th of November 2012 to 3rd Dec 2012 at the Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Sector 31-C, Chandigarh under the able guidance of Prof. B.S. Chavan, Joint Director, RIMH, HOD, Dept. Of Psychiatry, GMCH-32) in view of the International Day for  Persons with Disabilities observed on 3rd Dec every year. In this week long celebration, today on 2nd December 2012 a carnival was conducted for the children with special need and their parents at regional institute for mentally handicapped sector 31 Chandigarh. Different stalls of food, tea, snacks, games, competition of rangoli,  antaskhri ,drawing and fancy dress  were arranged in the carnival More than 400 students with their family visited the carnival and participated in various games and competition. They enjoyed tasty food, snacks and danced on the music. Prizes were distributed to the winners of games, rangoli, fancy dress antakshri & drawing competition. The Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped is  observing many activities throughout the week which will conclude at  Athletic stadium Sector 46 Chd   on 3rd December 2012 at, the International Day for Persons with Disability
