At a time when poor economic growth and industry slowdown are dominating news headlines, Mumbai-headquartered Blue Lotus Communications, a Comniscient Group company, has acquired seven key retainer accounts won in multi-agency pitches within a span of just one month.

N. Chandramouli, CEO, Blue Lotus Communications, an award-winning, seventeen year-old PR agency said, “Adding these clients to our portfolio reiterates our resilience to outperform even in a current sluggish market through our unique and proprietary Brand Trust-based approach to public relations. As a group we have been measuring Brand Trust across India published in TRA’s Brand Trust Report for ten years now, and we use the same science to deliver focused trust-based messages for our clients.” Chandramouli is also the author of the book Decoding Communication, which is a part of essential reading in many communication courses including IGNOU.

The new retainer clients are from a wide sector spread, ranging from councils, gems & jewellery, sports, start-ups, finance and food. The newly signed up clients include Indian Chemical Council, India’s largest council representing chemical and petrochemical companies, Institute of Actuaries of India, Divine Solitaires, eJohri, Dhoni invested Run Adam, NuTy and ImmunifyMe, a tech-based platform helping bridge early-child health immunity.

“The media turf is changing rapidly and so are the requirements of clients. Boutique PR agencies which offer personalized solutions to clients are winning against large agencies which have become impersonal and banal. Clients are choosing their agency very carefully and now seek agile PR agencies. Having burnt their hands with big agencies, many are realizing that big is not the same as good when it comes to PR consulting,” added Chandramouli
