New Delhi : BJP, one of the largest political parties in the country, has prepared several strategies for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 by forming a joining committee. This committee has made about 80 thousand leaders and workers of many parties across the country join BJP. Those who joined BJP include not only national level but also district level leaders.

BJP’s aim is to include about one lakh leaders and workers of other parties in the party before the general elections. The number of Congressmen among them is high. BJP claims that in Madhya Pradesh alone, 17 thousand Congressmen have joined the party in the last 80 days.

BJP claims that 17 thousand Congressmen including former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri, 6 former MLAs, 1 Mayor, 205 councilors and sarpanches and 500 former public representatives have joined BJP. Former Home Minister Narottam Mishra, convenor of BJP’s new joining group, says that a record has been made. Till the elections, we will make 70 thousand to 1 lakh Congressmen join BJP. If there is a provision for such a record in the Guinness Book, then our preparations are complete.

Recent personalities who joined the BJP include former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Ritesh Pandey and Sangeeta Azad from Bahujan Samaj Party, Preneet Kaur, Lalchand Kataria, Kiran Kumar Reddy (former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh) and Suresh Pachauri. The remaining leaders include Jyoti Mirdha, Arjun Modhwadia and Ravneet Singh Bittu from Congress, Arjun Singh from All India Trinamool Congress, V. Apart from these, on Thursday itself, 6-time Cuttack Lok Sabha MP Bhartrihari Mahtab joined BJP, a few days after leaving Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal.

In the committee, Ravi Shankar Prasad has been given the responsibility of East India, Rajiv Chandrashekhar of South India, Anurag Thakur of North India and Bhupendra Yadav of Central India.
