Bigger expectations lead to bigger responsibilities
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that State Government's for public welfare have resulted as the tremendous success in the municipal elections. This is an achievement of the first year of State Government's tenure. Credit of this goes to the people of urban areas, collective efforts and hard work. Mr. Baghel was addressing the taking charge ceremony of Mrs. Hema Deshmukh, Mayor Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation organized today at Padm Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium, as Chief Guest of the occasion. Mr. Baghel congratulated Mayor, Speaker and Corporators of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation and said that bigger victories come with bigger expectations and bigger expectations lead to bigger responsibilities.
The programme was attended by Forest Minister and In-charge of the district Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendiya, Member of Rajya Sabha Mrs. Chhaya Verma, MLA Khujji Mrs. Chhanni Sahu, MLA Dongargarh Mr. Bhuneshwar Baghel and other public representatives.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gave certificates to Mayor Mrs. Hema Deshmukh and Speaker Mr. Harinarayan Dhaketa. All the guests at the programme congratulated the officials and corporators of Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon. Mayor Mrs. Hema Dekhmukh in her address to the programme gave the slogan of 'Gadhbo Nava Rajnandgaon' on the lines of 'Gadhbo Nava Chhattisgarh'. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is the land of saints, scholars and great people, whose blessings have given Chhattisgarh the identity of peaceful state with culture of harmony and fraternity. Mr. Baghel said that in last one year, Chhattisgarh Government has made schemes for every section of society and implemented it in an effective manner. Main motive behind 'Gadhbo Nava Chhattisgarh' mission is to provide proper healthcare, employement, housing, education facilities and food security to people of the state. Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendiya also addressed the programme and congratulated the newly-elected officials and corporators of Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon.
At the onset, State Song 'Arpa Pairi Ke Dhar- Mahanadi Hai Apar' song was sung, while people in the auditorium stood up in honour of the state song. Vote of thanks was proposed by Speaker Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon Mr. Harinarayan Dhaketa. On the occasion, Member Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission Mr. Hafeez Khan, Rajgami Sampada Nyas Chairman Mr. Vivek Vasnik and local public representatives as well as common people were present.
