Washington : Amid the war between Israel and Hamas, the administration of US President Joe Biden is discussing assistance to Palestinians living in the US who want to bring their families to America from the war-torn region. A statement issued by the White House said that we are considering policy proposals to provide further assistance to Palestinians who are relatives of American citizens and want to come to America. The statement said that discussions are being held but there are no details in this regard at present.
The statement said this new step will help those who are legal permanent residents or US citizens and whose families are there. At this time it is difficult for anyone to leave the Gaza Strip as the Israel-Hamas war continues. According to local health officials, more than 34,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed in the war so far. Talks on the move come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would launch a major military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. At the same time, the Biden administration has warned Israel that its action will prove disastrous. There is a possibility of further war and unrest in the area.
