Rahul Gandhi's Strategic Distance from Kamal Nath

INVC NEWS
New Delhi : The speculations about former Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s defection may have been put to rest, but his credibility within the Congress organization has definitely been affected. This entire incident happened when former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is about to arrive in Madhya Pradesh. Digvijay Singh has taken charge to ensure that the indifference of Kamal Nath supporters does not affect the Yatra. The party high command has now handed over the reins of Rahul’s journey to Madhya Pradesh to Digvijay Singh. After Rajgarh and Guna, he reached Gwalior and Morena to finalize the preparations.

Let us tell you, the Yatra will enter Madhya Pradesh from Dholpur in Rajasthan on March 2. After the crushing defeat of Congress in the assembly elections, Kamal Nath is maintaining distance from the politics of the state. He was the party president from May 2018 to December last year. Participation of Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh was seen in all the big programs but Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is the first time when Digvijay Singh has taken all the responsibility and Kamal Nath is out of the scene.

Kamal Nath apparently never participated in the meetings of the committees formed by the state Congress for the yatra. For a few days, speculations about his defection also increased, due to which the preparations for the Nyay Yatra were left behind and all the leaders started exploring the possibilities and contacting MLAs and officials. Kamal Nath himself did not take any initiative to come forward and stop the speculations. This definitely affected his credibility as well. However, Kamal Nath also virtually participated in the meeting held on Tuesday regarding the preparations for the yatra and said that he will participate in the yatra.

Former Chief Minister is holding continuous meetings

To make the yatra successful, Digvijay Singh is continuously holding meetings with the workers. State Congress President Jitu Patwari is considered his supporter and this is going to be the first major program of the party organization after becoming its president, hence his activism is more. Jitu Patwari is holding meetings with the workers of the districts falling on the yatra route. The yatra will pass through Raghogarh, the home area and influence of Digvijay Singh.

His son Jaivardhan Singh is MLA from Raghogarh. Rahul Gandhi’s road show has also been organized here. Eye on Lok Sabha elections: Digvijay Singh also has an eye on the Lok Sabha elections. Priyavrat Singh can contest elections from Rajgarh. His assembly constituency Khilchipur comes in this. However, he lost the assembly elections. His name is in the list of contenders. Raghogarh also comes in Rajgarh parliamentary constituency. Guna Lok Sabha constituency is the area of influence of Jyotiraditya Scindia, hence Digvijay Singh is showing special interest in this area also.
