D.I.S wears a festive and vibrant look for the baisakhi celebration. Festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with immense gusto and enthusiasm by Kindergarten kids on 12 April 2013. The tiny-tots were dressed as ‘gabrus’ and ‘mutiyarans’. In order to mark the celebration of this auspicious day. The decorations was done with colourful “Phulkari dupattas”. Kids were shown charkha,chakki and chhajj and were familiar with the rich culture of Punjab. An infirmative speech to enrich the students about the Baisakhi festival was delievered by the teacher. Children danced on the beats of Dhol. Fun,frolic and gaiety came alive on the campus of D.I.S, when the festival was celebrated with great pomp and show.
