The dates of Bade Mangal this year are May 9th, May 16th, May 23rd, June 7th, and June 30th.

Why is Bada Mangal Celebrated in the Month of Jyestha?

According to the beliefs of Sanatan Dharma, Lord Hanuman met Lord Rama for the first time on a Tuesday in the month of Jyestha. Since then, all Tuesdays of this month are known as Bada Mangal or Budhwa Mangal. On this special day, kirtans are conducted in the temples, a religious feast (Bhandara) is organized, and water is offered to the people. In fact, Bada Mangal is celebrated with great fanfare in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and it is believed that it started from there.

Bada Mangal is also called Budhwa Mangal, and it is believed that worshiping Lord Hanuman on this day fulfills all wishes. Bhandara is also organized in other temples, including Hanuman Mandir in Lucknow, on Bada Mangal. It is believed that devotees who fast on Tuesdays of this month and worship Hanuman ji, all their troubles go away. Worshiping on this day will remove all negative energy from your life and bring prosperity.

Bada Mangal Puja Method

To get blessings from Hanuman ji on the great festival of Bada Mangal, a seeker should get up early in the morning and take a bath, then meditate. After this, take a pledge to fast according to the rules and regulations. Then, keep the picture of Hanuman ji in the northeast corner of the house and worship it. If it is not possible, then one should go to the Hanuman temple and worship him according to the rules and regulations.

To please Hanuman ji on Bada Mangal, offer red colored flowers, red colored clothes, red colored fruits, boondi, vermilion, and more. Recite Hanuman Chalisa seven times to fulfill any wish on Bada Mangal. Finally, after performing his aarti, distribute prasad to as many people as possible and take it yourself.
