Along with this, new excise policy has also been implemented. Due to this, the prices of all three types of beer, country and English liquor have increased. Three state governments, UP, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, have released new rates of liquor. Liquor contractors have also been informed. The new rates will be effective from today. Instructions have also been given to take strict action against those who violate the order.
Country liquor has become costlier by Rs 5 in UP. Now it will be available for Rs 70 instead of Rs 65. Another type of liquor, which was priced at Rs 75, has become costlier by Rs 15. This paua will be available for Rs 90 from today. A bottle of English liquor has become costlier by Rs 15 to Rs 25. Adhiya and the entire bottle have also become expensive. There has been an increase of Rs 10 on a can of beer. The price of a bottle of beer has increased by Rs 20.

The state government is aiming to collect revenue of Rs 11 thousand crore in the upcoming financial year.
