Atlantis, The Palm Ties Up With Dp World Tour Championship, Dubai For Fifth Straight Year

Atlantis__The_Palm__Official_Hotel_of_US_8_million_DP_World_Tour_Championship_for_fifth_year_in_succession (1)INVC, Dubai, As the Official Hotel of the US$8 million DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, Atlantis, The Palm will once again provide a luxurious end-of-season welcome for the top 60 players on The European Tour’s Race to Dubai. To be staged on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 November, the DP World Tour Championship is now in its fifth consecutive year of partnership with the iconic destination, which will once again use its position to support golf in the UAE and promote it to its international visitors. “At Atlantis, The Palm, we have enjoyed a hugely successful partnership with the DP World Tour Championship since The Race to Dubai was launched in 2009 and we are extremely proud to be the event’s Official Hotel for the fifth year in succession,” said Serge Zaalof, President and Managing Director Atlantis, The Palm. “As the finale of The Race to Dubai, the DP World Tour Championship is one of the biggest golfing occasions on the calendar and continues to feature many of the biggest names in the sport. It is our pleasure to welcome the players and their families for what will be a true celebration of the golfing season and the opportunity to enjoy our world-class resort and its attractions.”  In addition to hosting the competing players and their families, Atlantis has a number of initiatives planned to raise awareness of the tournament and implement activities in the build up to the DP World Tour Championship involving fun activities as well as unique competitions and raffles. European Tour professional Joel Sjoholm, the Atlantis Golf Ambassador, will also host the second annual Race to Atlantis Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday 4 November. Among the competitors will be VIP guests and clients of Atlantis who will compete for a variety of exclusive prizes including a place in the Rolex Pro-Am at the DP World Tour Championship, a luxury stay at Atlantis, The Palm, hospitality tickets for the DP World Tour Championship, an official DP World Tour Championship 2012 leather golf bag signed by the top 60 players, and, for the first player to make a hole-in-one, a BMW 3 Series GT, courtesy of AGMC. “Having Atlantis, The Palm, as our Official Hotel is a popular choice with the players who get the opportunity to combine the challenge of competing in the DP World Tour Championship with a happy family break away from the golf course,” said Nick Tarratt, Director of European Tour International, Dubai Office. “We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Atlantis, The Palm ever since the tournament was first staged in 2009 and today they are one of the tournament’s key partners.
