Know which party will lead the tribal society to the top of power in the elections
Congress is going to start a campaign from Shahdol to cater to the tribal vote bank whose Congress came to power in 2018. State Congress President Kamal Nath will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Municipality President during his visit to Shahdol on November 7 and will hold a meeting with party officials and workers, participate in the rally and address a huge public meeting. Along with Shahdol, tribals of Anuppur, Umaria and Dindori districts will participate in this public meeting. The leaders of BJP and Congress do not want to leave any stone unturned to cater to the tribal society with 22 percent population of the state. The reason for this is that the tribal class has influence in 80 assembly seats in the state and 47 assembly seats are reserved for them. It is believed that in MP, the party which gets the support of the tribal class becomes its government. That’s why the Congress is busy in cultivating this big vote bank.
Tribals of 4 districts will gather
In view of the assembly elections to be held in the state next year, the MP Congress has started preparations to reach out to the tribal voters. In this episode, State Congress President Kamal Nath will go on a Shahdol tour on November 7. Along with attending the swearing-in ceremony of the Municipality President there, he will hold a meeting with party officials and workers, will participate in the rally and will address a huge public meeting. Through a huge public meeting in Shahdol, the Congress will create an atmosphere in favor of the party among the tribal voters of Shahdol as well as Anuppur, Umaria and Dindori districts. The District Congress Committee of Shahdol has intensified preparations to make Kamal Nath’s visit a success.
Congressmen excited by the success of civic elections
If seen, in the recently concluded civic elections, everyone’s eyes were on the Shahdol Municipality elections. When elections were held, in 39 wards of Shahdol Municipality, where 18 councilors of BJP managed to win, only 12 councilors of Congress managed to win. Apart from this, 9 councilors were successful in registering independent victory. Till the last there were speculations that the BJP would once again make the president of the municipality, but the Congress succeeded in making it its president even after having 12 councillors. This happened almost two decades later, when Shahdol became the president of the Congress in the municipality, so this victory means a lot for the Congress. In Jaisingh Nagar Municipal Council, the Congress was successful in making it its president, due to which there is a lot of enthusiasm in the party and it is preparing to repeat this victory in the assembly elections. This is the reason why the visit of PCC Chief Kamal Nath has been fixed in Shahdol.
47 seater game
In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress was able to get power only because of the votes of the tribals. Congress got 30 out of 47 seats. Due to the large population of tribals in the state, they have direct influence in 84 seats out of 230 assembly. In the 2013 assembly elections in the state, out of 47 seats reserved for tribals, the BJP had won 31 seats. Congress had 15 seats in its account. But in the 2018 elections, the scene turned completely opposite. The BJP could win only 16 out of the 47 reserved seats. Congress had won 30 seats. BJP was out of power. However, it has to be seen which party the tribal society takes to the top of power in the 2023 elections.
