Aspiring girl students would get formal training
Haryana Industries and Commerce and Industrial Training Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel said that in order to promote the participation of women in Entrepreneurship, the Haryana Government would start a regular programme on Women Entrepreneurship to impart formal training of Entrepreneurship and Business Development to the girl students.
Mr. Vipul Goel made this announcement in the valedictory function of year-long Entrepreneurship for Girls Program conducted by the Women Entrepreneurs Cell of Iamsmeofindia at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar was also present on this occasion as Chief of honour.
He said that under this Programme, which would be run under Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, the aspiring girl students would get formal training to initiate their innovative ideas into a successful business.
The Minister appreciated the initiative taken by Iamsmeofindia (Integrated Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India) to conduct year-long Entrepreneurship for Girls Programme for girl students to prepare them as an entrepreneur. He asked Iamsmeofindia to submit an official proposal and explore possibility to start a regular program on Women Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Shri Vishwakarma Skill University.
Earlier, Chairman of Iamsmeofindia Mr. Rajive Chawla, apprised the Minister about the Entrepreneurship for Girls Programme. He said that Women Entrepreneurs Cell of Iamsmeofindia had started this Programme last year with the participation of 12 Colleges and more than 200 girls. After rigorous screening process, 45 girls were selected out of these girls to incubate their start-up proposals and asked the Minister to extend his support for student’s initiatives, on which Minister assured to support the selected start-up proposals of students. Also, he urged the people from educational institutions, local administration and industries to support and incubate the start-up ideas of students.
On the call of Minister, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar also extended help for few students to support and incubate their start-ups. Addressing to students, Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that new technologies have been advancing in such a way that it has completely changed the functioning of business. The aspiring entrepreneurs need to keep themselves updated with these changing trends and advances for their survival and future prospects.
On this occasion, the Minister distributed the certificates to the students, who have completed the year-long programme.
Administrator, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran and Additional Chief Executive Officer of Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Mrs. Sonal Goel was also addressed the function and gave an overview on State Government’s policies.
The representatives from participating educational institutes and a number industrialist were also present on this occasion.
