Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the new building of secretariat premise
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the new building here at secretariat premise on Saturday. Shri Gehlot cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque amid chanting of mantras.After inauguration Shri Gehlot took stock of the facilities available in this new building and asked about the books available in the library. He directed the officials to increase facilities so that employees working in secretariat can avail the facility of entertainment. He asked Chief Secretary to find out other place for the central storage which is currently in this new building. Provision has been made for underground and four floors in this new building. The library will be in underground, central storage and recreation hall on the second floor, central store on the third floor and NIC on the fourth floor. Total Rs. 786.08 lakh will be spent on this new building. The work for library in underground, central storage on the first floor and entertainment hall on the second floor has completed. Library has been divided in two parts including readers room and library. Around 50 thousand books, 30 daily newspapers and 95 magazines will be available in the library. The Chief Minister had made announcement regarding new building in secretariat in the year 2011-12. Chief Secretary Shri C. K. Mathew, Principal Secretary Law Shri Prakash Gupta, Principal Secretary DOP Shri Sudarshan Sethi, other officals and employees of secretariat were present on this occasion.
