The highly anticipated movie, Project K, featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, may not hit theaters on January 12, 2024, as previously announced, due to Amitabh Bachchan’s recent injury on set. Bachchan’s health is the production team’s top priority, and they do not want to rush him back to work before he is fully recovered.

Sources close to the film’s unit have indicated that Nag Ashwin, the director, and Vyjayanthi Movies, the producers, are not pressuring Bachchan to return to the set until he has healed properly. As a result, it seems unlikely that Project K will meet its scheduled release date.

Bachchan suffered a severe injury during the filming of Project K, as confirmed in his social media post. He sustained rib cartilage damage, a muscle tear, and a broken rib on the right side of his ribcage. Following the accident, Bachchan sought medical advice and underwent scans at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad before returning home for further treatment.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Mahanati, Project K is a dystopian movie with a massive budget. The movie promises to be an immersive and unique experience for audiences, as revealed in the behind-the-scenes videos that have been released so far.

In the meantime, Prabhas is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, Adipurush. The film, based on the Hindu epic mythology, Ramayana, is generating excitement among fans, with its recently unveiled trailer receiving positive feedback. Adipurush is set to hit theaters on June 16, 2023.

While fans eagerly await updates on Project K, they can look forward to Prabhas’ grand portrayal of Lord Rama in Adipurush. The movie is expected to be a visual spectacle and a compelling retelling of the ancient epic.
