“Amity- I Believe” is designed as an annual inter-institute debate competition to provide a platform to the youth to exhibit their leadership and communication skills. It would require students to engage in foundational research, encourage the development of listening and oratory skills, create an environment where students must think critically and tolerate differing viewpoints.
It is an informative and engrossing competition from 6 teams from Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim Team, Lucknow University, SRM and Amity University, Madhya Pradesh.
Major General K K Ohri, Pro VC, Amity University, Lucknow addressed the final round by introducing the topic of the debate as “Pink flags over blue buildings stirring in a patriarchal society”
The judging panel comprised former Analyst BBC Atul Chandra, Founder Study Hall School, Lucknow Urvashi Sahni and M.D. Microlit, Lucknow Ajay Jain and special guest Miss Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah and the moderator of the round was Monica Wilson who made the session wonderful by listening to the viewpoints of the young speakers on the hot burning issue.
The engaging event was followed by the declaration of the results. The Team from Aligarh Muslim University came first and Runners up were from Jamiya Millia Islamiya The best speaker for and against the motion was Ashish Kumar Gupta and Md Umair respectively and who were given Mac book Air as Prize
