Adventure tourism will commence in Chaardhaam route before the yatra commences : Chief Minister
INVC NEWS Dehradun, The Chief Minister Harish Rawat met the representatives of Chaar Dhaam Hotel Association at the Bijapur Guest house late on Sunday evening . The CM Harish Rawat said that all arrangements will be completed before the yatra commences. The government is making special arrangements for Kedarnath Dhaam Yatra. It is being ensured that the pilgrims face no inconvenience of any kind. The government is making efforts to ensure that the yatra is better managed than all times before. Provision is being made to accommodate 4000 pilgrims at the yatra. Better trekking routes are being developed. Heli services will be introduced for the convenience of the pilgrims. Helipads will be made at several points between Guptkashi and Kedarnath so that aerial services are available readily. Work has begun on rope way from Lincholi to Kedarnath. In order to ensure safety, soldiers of SDRF will be deployed at the yatra route. Medical team will also be deployed all through the yatra. Bio-metric Registration of the tourists will be done. Towers have have seen set up at various places in order to ensure good connectivity. To enable pilgrims to talk to their relatives, PCOs are also being set up. Pilgrims will have access to water, electricity and other essential basic facilities in a better manner than ever before. The CM said that adventure tourism will commence in Chaardhaam route before the yatra commences. In order to promote the yatra, the CM will personally tour all over India and spread the message of Uttarakhand being a safe destination. The CM has appealed to office holders of all associations to extend all support to the government. This message must also be disseminated through tour operators and other mediums. The government will give serious consideration to points raised by the association. The CM has also instructed all officers to repair Chaar Dhaam roads before yatra begins. Instructions have also been issued for BRO in this regard. The government is prepared for the yatra and rehabilitation work is under process in Kedarnath despite challenging weather conditions. The work by Nehru Mountaineering Institute is commendable. It is our priority to prepare Kedarnath for yatra before pilgrims start coming.
