Adequate security arrangements would be made

Haryana Chief Secretary Keshni Anand Arora today issued directions to Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police, to complete all the arrangements regarding the launch programme of ‘Fit India Movement’ on the occasion of National Games Day by Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi on August 29, 2019, from Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.

          The Chief Secretary was presiding over a meeting regarding the launch of ‘Fit India Movement’ by Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, through video conferencing here today.

          Mrs Arora said that the programme would be telecasted nationwide through Doordarshan. During the programme, the Prime Minister would also administer pledge of fitness. For this, the Chief Secretary directed the officials concerned to complete all the preparations regarding direct telecast of the programme in all district and sub-divisional headquarters, tehsils, Block Development and Panchayats Officers offices, parks, Municipal Corporations, Municipal Committees, Municipal Councils and Gram Panchayats. She said that sports, yoga or marathon should be organised to increase public participation before or after the programme.

           She said that live telecast of this programme and games should be organized in all government and private schools, colleges, ITIs, Polytechnic colleges and universities to connect the students and youth with this programme. Apart from this, the programme should also be organised at wellness centers, dispensaries, private and government hospitals as well as at police lines and police stations.

          She said that NSS volunteers, NCC cadets as well as youth from Nehru Yuva Kendras should be included in the programme. She directed the officers concerned to ensure arrangements of drinking water as well as other facilities at the sites of the programme. She also directed to ensure strict security arrangements for this event to be held on August 29.

         In the meeting, Director General of Police, Mr Manoj Yadava said that adequate security arrangements would be made for the programme and traffic arrangements would also be paid full attention. He said that about 5,000 youth are taking police training in Police Training Centers in Haryana, these youth would also be included in this programme and fitness games would also be organised in these police training centers. Apart from this, such programmes would also be organised in Police line and families living there would also be included in this programme.

        During the video conferencing, preparations were also reviewed regarding inauguration of 10 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers of Haryana by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi on 30 August, 2019. The Prime Minister would inaugurate Ayush Health and Wellness Centers in 10 districts of the state namely Ambala, Faridabad, Karnal, Sonipat, Gurugram, Kaithal, Mewat, Panchkula, Hisar and Jind by pressing a button of remote through video conferencing. The state level programme would be organised on August 30, 2019 in Panchkula.

        Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Mrs. Navraj Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Mr. Rajeev Arora, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Mr. Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Mr. Vineet Garg, Director General, Information Public Relations and Languages Department, Mr. Sameer Pal Srow, Director, AYUSH, Mr Saket Kumar, Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Mr. Bhupinder Singh and other senior officers.
