Adequate arrangement being made to check H1N1 : Kaul Singh Thakur
INVC NEWS Shimla, Health and Family Welfare Minister Kaul Singh Thakur said that State Government had taken preventive measures to check H1N1 and isolation wards has been set up in all District hospitals. Shri Thakur was presiding over a meeting of Health Department here today to review the arrangement to deal with H1N1 virus. Shri Kaul Singh Thakur said that adequate stock of medicines, vaccines and ventilators had been provided for virus infected patients. He said that suspected patients were immediately sent to isolation wards for preventing contamination and immediate treatment was being provided. He said that triple layered mask would be available to the people in contact with the infected patient. He said special training was being provided to the staff of district, zonal hospitals and medical colleges so that proper and effective treatment could be ensured. Health Minister appealed the public to take precautionary measures such as washing hands before eating, cooking and serving food. He said that if the symptoms such as running nose, headache, sneezing, short breath etc were found then report to the nearby health institution so that proper treatment could be provided. Additional Chief Secretary Health, Shri Vineet Chawdhary, Director Health Services Dr. D. S. Gurung, Director , Medical Education, Dr. Jaishree Sharma, Managing Director, National Health Mission, Shri Hansraj Sharma, Principal IGMC, Shimla, Dr. S.S. Kaushal, Sr. Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ramesh Chand and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
