Gopal Italia arrested
Gujarat’s Aam Aadmi Party President Gopal Italia was taken into custody on Thursday in connection with the controversial statement made about Prime Minister Modi. National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma summoned Gopal Italia to Delhi on Thursday.
During this, AAP workers protested fiercely outside the office of NCW President Rekha Sharma. As the commotion escalated, the police removed the crowd from the spot.
NCW chief Rekha Sharma tweeted about the uproar outside her office. Sharing the photo of AAP leaders and workers gathered outside his office in a tweet, he wrote that ‘Aam Aadmi Party people are creating nuisance outside my office’.
The NCW chief had summoned AAP Gujarat chief Gopal Italia in connection with a video in which he was purportedly seen using abusive language for the PM. plc/gt
