Haryana Education Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal today honoured the architects and lauded the contribution of A3 Foundation for promoting the profession of architecture in India.
Mrs. Bhukkal was addressing the students of architecture in an award distribution function jointly organized by A3 foundation and Ultratech Paints at Government Museum & Art Gallery here today.
Complementing the A3 foundation, the Minister said that awarding the teachers and journalists is highly important as they are shaping architecture of our country. She said that A3 Foundation did a great service as it is providing instant encouragement to the students which build their confidence before they step in to their professional practice.
Mrs. Bhukkal said that Haryana Government under the able leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda has always been laying emphasis to make the state an ‘Ideal State’ in the country. “Our commitment could be gauged from the fact that not only the other states of the country but of many other countries have also appreciated the good work done in several fields and want to emulate the programmes and schemes of Haryana Government”, she added.
The Minister also visited the exhibition put up by A3 foundation.
SD Sharma Best Sustainable Design Award was conferred upon Anuj Vijay Kale from Nasik and Best Innovative Concept Design award was bestowed upon Madhur Goyal from Gwalior. The Best Architecture Teacher Award was conferred on Architect Sarabjot Singh Behl from Amritsar and Dr. K.S. Anantha Krishna from Bangalore. The freelance journalist who earlier also worked with the ‘Indian Architecture and Builder’ magazine, Suparna Rajguru was awarded the A3F Architectural Journalism Award. Commendation certificates for sustainable design concepts were also been given away to six students including Mohit Vij, Anuj Vijay, Rhythm Kataria, Harsimran, Gayatri and Vikas Pawar.
The event was attended by State Information Commissioner, Haryana Mrs. Meenakshi Anand Choudhary, Chairman of A3 Foundation, Dr. Sangeet Sharma, President Ultratech Texture Paints Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Rohit Asthana, Architect S.D. Sharma, Dr. Ken Yeang from Malaysia and a number of architecture students.
