A ‘Gaushala’ would be got constructed in the Shrine Complex over an area of six acres : Bhupinder Singh Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was among the first few to pay obeisance and perform Yajna at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Complex at Panchkula on the occasion of first Navratra today. The Ashwin Navratri mela began with religious fervor at the shrine complex today and a large number of people visited the shrine to pay obeisance.
          Accompanied by his wife Mrs. Asha Hooda, the Chief Minister also performed Ghat Sthapna amidst chanting of hymns.
Later on while interacting with the media persons, Mr. Hooda greeted the people on the occasion of Navratras and said that today is the first Navratra and he prayed for the well being and prosperity of the people. He wished that  evil spirits should leave the society to let it prosper and all should live in a harmony. A large number of devotees throng the temple during Navratras as the people have immense faith in the goddess Shri Mata Mansa Devi, added Mr. Hooda.
In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that the present State Government has undertaken various development works and the shrine complex would be further developed. He said that a ‘Gaushala’ would be got constructed in the Shrine Complex over an area of six acres. Apart from this a “Sarovar” was being got constructed to further beautify the complex.
When his attention was drawn towards the steps taken by the State Government to curb the menace of female foeticide, Mr. Hooda said that a number of schemes have been implemented by the State Government to ensure all round development of girls and as a result of this, the sex ratio has improved. Also, campaigns were being launched from time to time to enlighten the people to save the girl child. He said that during the last few years, a considerable improvement has been registered in the sex ratio between the age group of 0-6 years.
        Earlier, Mr. Hooda also inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by the Lions Club, Panchkula in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Welfare, Haryana Chapter at the Shrine complex.
Later, Mr. Hooda and his wife Mrs. Asha Hooda, paid obeisance at the historical Nada Sahib Gurudwara. On this occasion, Mr. Hooda announced to allot a piece of land measuring 1050 sq. mtrs.  to the Nada Sahib Gurudwara as its managing committee had requested that a piece of land be allotted to construct a “sarover” .
          Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hooda said that lakhs of devotees visited this famous Gurudwara and with a view to facilitate such devotees, the land was being given. He said that he always got blessings and inspiration whenever he visits this historical Gurudwara.Mr Hooda said that it was in 1997 that he had launched his “Pad Yatra” from Panchkula to Jind after offering prayers at the Gurudwara Nada Sahib and he had got enough strength to successfully complete his mission.
He assured all cooperation of the State Government to Managing Committee of the Gurudwara and said that their other demands would also be considered.
Mr Hooda and his wife were honoured by presenting them with “Saropas”, the robe of honour.
