विश्व हिन्दू परिषद के अध्यक्ष अशोक सिंघल ने यहाँ अपने निवास स्थान पर कहा कि आसाराम बापू के खिलाफ अपमानजनक कारवाई ने पूरे देश में मौजूद करोड़ों हिन्दुओं की भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाया है। गिरजाघरों की ओर से यह एक और साजिशपूर्ण प्रयास का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करता है क्योंकि आदिवासी इलाकों में बापू के कार्यों के कारण उन्हें दिक्कतें हो रही हैं।

सिंघल ने कहा कि प्रतीत होता है कि गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी गोधरा दंगा और उसके बाद की स्थिति के लिए उन्हें गलत ढंग से दोषी ठहराए जाने के आरोपों के दबाव में आ गए हैं। यह भाजपा हाईकमान का दयित्व बनता है कि वह उन्हें राज्य के पुलिस महानिदेशक शब्बीर हुसैन द्वारा गिरजाघरों के इशारे पर ढाए जा रहे कहर कि स्थिति से निपटने में मदद करे।

गौरतलब है कि आसाराम बापू और उनके दो अनुयायियों के खिलाफ उनके एक अन्य अनुयायी राजू चांडक की हत्या का कथित तौर पर प्रयास किए जाने के कारण भादसं की धारा 307 और 25 आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज है।

The series of events in last few months including articles by Gujarat Local News Paper, activities of Raju Lambu and Attack on Ahmedabad Ashram clearly shows the conspiracy against Pujya Bapuji. The FIR logged by Gujarat police, which had an active role in ransacking Ahmedabad Ashram on November 27 2009, seems to be under political pressure to malign Pujya Bapuji’s image. This also reminds us of a similar case against Shankracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi back in 2004, where local government and police had falsely implicated him in the case.

This sting operation has completely exposed all nefarious activities of Raju Lambu. The manner in which he himself accepted his involvement in all the conspiracies establishes the fact that he has committed an abominable crime of defaming a great world-renowned saint.
