430 million approved for the improvement of higher education
INVC NEWS Bhopal, At its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the cabinet sanctioned $ 430 million (Rs. 2728 crore) under World Bank Project for improvement in higher education. In it, World Bank’s share will be 300 million dollars and state’s share 130 million dollars. At Indore, Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam will develop Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) on 254 acre land available for Diamond Park Project under PPP mode. In the core area of SEZ, industrial plots will be developed and in the non-core area, hotel, township conference hall, hospital, school, training centre and administrative building will be constructed. Private developers will make available basic amenities like road, water, power, streetlights, sewer network, plantation, CC TV cameras and parking facilities. Side by side development of industrial plot in the DTA, facilities of roads, parking, power, water etc. will also be developed. The cabinet decided to constitute State AYUSH Mission Society for implementation of National AYUSH Mission. Creation of 7 posts was sanctioned for programme implementation management committees for implementing works recommended by the society. The cabinet sanctioned creation of 5 new posts in ENT department of Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa. These include 3 posts of junior resident and one post each of audiomentrist and speech therapist. Over Rs. 422 crore for 4 irrigation projects The cabinet sanctioned over Rs. 422 crore for 4 irrigation projects, which would bring 13727 hectares under irrigation. A sum of Rs. 60 crore 91 lakh 69 thousand has been sanctioned to ensure rabi irrigation in 1980 hectares in command area of River-Reservoir Link Project from Harpura irrigation dam and filling water in 12 reservoirs, revised sanction of Rs. 97 crore 59 lakh 97 thousand for rabi irrigation in 1990 hectares from Mundla minor irrigation project in Rajgarh district, administrative sanction of Rs. 204 crore 2 lakh for additional irrigation in 7424 hectartes under second phase of Gulab Sagar (Mahan) in Sidhi district and administrative sanction of Rs. 59 crore 52 lakh 64 thousand designed Rabi irrigation capacity of 2333 hectares. Rs. 367 crore 80 lakh for 5 main district roads The cabinet gave administrative sanction of Rs. 367 crore 80 lakh for 5 main district roads measuring 228.68 kms under MDR Scheme. This includes Rs. 63 crore 99 lakh for 30.50 km long Sarangpur NH-3 to Sandawta road, Rs. 93 crore 15 lakh for 68.80 km long ABC canal road in Morena district, Rs. 57 crore 44 lakh for 40.60 km long Anuppur-Venkat Nagar road in Anuppur district Rs. 88 crore 85 lakh for 56.60 km long Jaora to Sitamau road in Mandsaur district and Rs. 64 crore 37 lakh for 32.18 km long Ratlam-Khachrod road in Ratlam district.
