3rd International Conference on Human Behaviour and Development Issues organized at Amity University

 A two day International Conference on Human behavior and development Issues was inaugurated today at Amity University Lucknow Campus. The Conference was organized by Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences (AIBAS). Focused on the theme of Growth and Sustainability this conference discussed on the changes of human behavior, thought, and outcome towards development, solutions, positive happenings as well as flourishing and thriving individuals and social system. Chief Guest Information Commissioner Mr. Arvind Singh Bisht and Key note speaker Ex. Vice Chancellor, University of Allahabad Prof. R.C. Tripathi Inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Pro VC Amity University Lucknow Campus Maj. Gen. KK Ohri (AVSM)Retd. along with Director Projects Amity University Lucknow Mr. Naresh Chandra and Dean Science research and technology Dr. Qmar Rahman were present on the occasion. Welcoming the Guests Pro VC Amity Lucknow said that today we can see the clear difference in behavior of young generation then older. In our time no one can argued with teachers but today the scenario is entire different. Dr. Qmar Rahman said in their welcome address that today the money and machine matters and humanity is gone behind which is a big concern. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Arvind Singh Bisht, State Information Technology Commissioner, U.P. According to him, in the present scenario of superfast technologies, we all have become more materialistic and realistic which create hindrances in growth. To sustain human growth, we should follow our Indian ideology of correlation of Atma to Antratma to Parmatma. The keynote speaker Prof. (Dr.) R.C. Tripathi emphasized on the fact that education is not panacea for the social evils. He continued by saying that the studies carried out have shown that with increasing education neither the optimum growth has been achieved, nor the per capita income of the weaker section has improved much therefore, we should initiate with a step that will actually benefit the weaker section of the society. He further emphasized on the importance of “Army” as he quoted that all the economically progressed nations have powerful army. Prof. (Dr.) Manju Agarwal, Director, AIBAS said that Technological achievement cannot be achieved at the cost of human growth. She highlighted the fact that the growth towards society that does not garner towards anger, violence but towards happiness and equality. She emphasized that we need to symbolize the value of sustainability and the peaceful environment in our lives. The various sub themes addressed in scientific sessions and symposia were- Best practices for sustainable development, Women’s empowerment: Men’s gain too, Meta cognition and emotion: Gender and adolescent issues, self and relational issues: A multicultural therapeutic approach. The eminent scholars concluded that human growth is a journey to sustainability and happy living and there is a need to have a collective approach for the well-being of the society. This interdisciplinary conference has witnessed participants across the globe such as Hungary, Scottland, Sri Lanka, Germany, Bangladesh, Nigeria, India and Canada. The theme of the event is Growth and Sustainability and to address this theme, eminent academicians, delegates, scholars, speakers and other dignitaries have presented their research papers, had fruitful and paramount discussions in symposia and scientific sessions on the inaugural day. A cultural evening was also organized today to showcase the Indian traditions of hospitality which was loved by everyone.
