Manav Rachna International School, Sector 51, Gurugram celebrated its Annual Day, Exhuberance’17 today at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Madhu Azad (Mayor of Gurugram), escorted by the Chairman Rajesh Kalra, Executive Director  Gaurav Rai, school principal Mrs. Pooja Puri and other dignitaries of MRIS -51 Gurugram and Ludhiana. The School Principal, Mrs. Pooja Puri welcomed the eminent guests and read the School’s Annual Report of the previous sessions. She read out the achievements of the school – both Academic & Co-curricular and wished success to the students.

Addressing the gathering, Madhu Azad, Mayor of Gurugram said” it was quite impressive to see students enthusiasm, expressing their emotions through music, students were very playful and energetic. My best wishes are always with them”.

The event started off with a prayer dance followed by the school choir – ‘The Waves’ and instrumental presentation ‘TARANG’ by the school orchestra ‘Resonance’. It was a day to celebrate the voyage of excitement, exhilaration, liveliness which was full of emotions where the shining stars of MRIS presented the musical journey straight from their heart and lightened the world. An echo in the environment, a free flow of flawless expression that triggers the mind and the body, a journey that starts with a touch of a smile and departs with a flow of tears, such are the colours of our emotional bondage, which links and connects us all in uniformity and humanity. Sharing the journey of the school, Mrs Pooja Puri, The School principal of Manav Rachna International School, Gurugram said” We, at MRIS, while basking in the glory of our success do not sit on our achieved laurels but tirelessly work to touch the zenith.  Today we look forward with a sense of hope towards greater growth and progress” ‘Emotions are much like waves. We can’t stop them from coming but we can choose which ones to surf.’

So was a depiction of the play ‘RAS TARANG’ which exhibited various emotions in their full swing through a blend of drama and dance. The musical journey ‘RAS TARANG – The Waves of Emotions’ gave us the opportunity to meet the little voices of our emotions and feelings inside our mind. It was a journey into thriving compassion among characters and heart touching scenes interwoven into a dramatically overwhelming play composed by the students. The play also had musical elements to bring symphony and melody into life. The one–hour long cultural show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated.

The event concluded with a grand finale celebration by all the participants on the famous song ‘Let it Go’ followed by the vote of thanks. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervour.
