केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने शत्रु सम्पत्ति अधिनियम 1968 में संशोधन करने के वास्ते शत्रु सम्पत्ति (संशोधन एवं वैधीकरण) द्वितीय विधेयक 2010 पेश करने के गृह मंत्रालय के प्रस्ताव को आज स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी। इन संशोधनों में अन्य बातों के अलावा निम्नलिखित प्रस्ताव शामिल हैं–

• शत्रु की सम्पत्ति कस्टोडियन के अधिकार में तब तक बनी रहेगी जब तक केन्द्र सरकार उसे उससे वंचित नहीं करेगी।
• यदि शत्रु की सम्पत्ति 2 जुलाई 2010 से पहले कस्टोडियन से ले ली गई थी तो यह हस्तांतरित मानी जाएगी और कस्टोडियन के अधिकार में रहेगी। तथापि, यदि शत्रु की सम्पत्ति कस्टोडियन से धारा 18 के अधीन वैध आदेश द्वारा 2 जुलाई 2010 से पहले ले ली गई थी या सम्पत्ति उसके स्वामी या उसके वैध उत्तराधिकारी को अदालत के किसी आदेश द्वारा लौटा दी गई थी और यदि वैध उत्तराधिकारी जन्म से भारत का नागरिक है तो उस सूरत में वह सम्पत्ति उस व्यक्ति के पास बनी रहेगी।
• शत्रु की किसी सम्पत्ति के हस्तांतरण में मौखिक संकल्प द्वारा लिया गया कोई हस्तांतरण या हस्तांतरण का दावा अथवा मौखिक उपहार मान्य नहीं होगा, या यदि यह सक्षम अधिकारी की अनुमति के बिना किया गया है।
• कोई न्यायालय कस्टोडियन से शत्रु  की सम्पत्ति की वंचना का आदेश नहीं देगा या न ही केन्द्र सरकार को शत्रु की सम्पत्ति के वंचन का निर्देश देगा।
• केन्द्र सरकार कस्टोडियन को शत्रु की सम्पत्ति को निर्दिष्ट रूप में बेचने या उसे ठिकाने लगाने का निर्देश दे सकती है।
• शत्रु की सम्पत्ति के कस्टोडियन, उप-कस्टोडियन और सहायक कस्टोडियन को शत्रु सम्पत्ति के बारे में एस्टेट अधिकारी के रूप में घोषित करने के लिए लोक परिसर (अनधिकृत कब्जे से मुक्त करना) अधिनियम 1921 को संशाोधित करना।

ये संशोधन पूर्व प्रभाव से मान्य होंगे।
