A startling revelation for the fans of Justin Bieber…he is an Alien! For those who do not like theeenie meeni mo singer will surely have a gala time laughing about it. But the fact remains just the same.

Justin will be seen playing the character of an alien in an upcoming Sci-fi flick MEN IN BLACK 3 of Sony Picture’s. The film having made in 3D will have a fourth dimension been added to it by the very presence of the baby boy Justin.

The Indian fans of Bieber are sure to hit the theatres to catch a glimpse of their favorite singer who will be seen sitting on the surveillance board with many other well-known celebs. Talking about which Director Barry Sonnenfeld said, “The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won’t be like, ‘Who’s that guy?’ in ten years.”

In previous movies of MIB, Steven Spielberg, Michael Jackson, George Lucas, Isaac Mizrahi and Martha Stewart have been among the names that have flashed across the screen as being extraterrestrials.

However, will the cameo appearance of Bieber add to the twinkle of MIB 3 will soon be revealed as the movie hits the Indian theatres on 25^th May.

                      The third movie in the Men in Black franchise returns after the gap of 10 years. The movie stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones along with the third in the duo Josh Brolin who will be playing the character of young Agent K. Apart from these the movie will also star Emma Thompson, Alice Eve and Jemaine Clement, with Barry Sonnenfeld returning as director, and Steven Spielberg returning as executive producer.

The story of Men in Black does not take a step ahead rather jumps back in time as Agent J is hit with a revelation that his partner Agent K has been dead for over 40 years which could not have been the truth. And to save the life of his partner Agent J takes a time jump and finds himself in 1960’s.

The movie of 106 minutes is written by Etan Cohen and the makeup is done by Rick Baker. World renowned rapper Pitbull has sung a song for the movie called “Back in time”. The movie also features Justin Bieber and Tim Burton in cameo appearances and Pussycat Dolls singer Nichole Scherzinger essaying key role of villain Borris’s paramour.

Will J be able to save the life of his partner and save the planet from the wrath of alien criminal Borris or will he fail in this mission? All this and more gets revealed as the Sony picture’s movie releases in India on 25th May. The movie will be releasing in Hindi ,English,Tamil and Telugu.

Before the gala premiere of his new film MEN IN BLACK 3, Will Smith reached London to promote this film. The actor could not do without the black suit and looked as dashing as ever.

The award winning performer for the role of Muhammad Ali appreciated the athleticism of those he met and congratulated them for their hard work.He was seen shooting basketball hoops, jumping hurdles and throwing punches with the Olympic hopefuls.

Expressing his love for sports Smith said, “I’ve always loved sports – I love basketball and I love boxing. But I’ve never considered myself an athlete!” He also mentioned that he will be at Olympics to watch.

As much as happy he was to meet these Olympic hopefuls the same feelings were reciprocated by these Olympic hopeful MIB fans. The guilt of not having persued sports as a career, surely gets fulfilled by playing characters like Muhammad Al, mentioned the Actor.

The film MEN IN BLACK 3 premiers in London on 23^rd May but will hit Indian theatres on 25^th May.

सोनी पिक्चर्स इंडिया की फिल्म ‘मेन इन ब्लैक ३’ जल्दी ही रिलीज़ होने वाली है. थ्री डी में बनी यह फिल्म हिंदी, अंग्रेजी, तमिल और तेलगु भाषा में भी रिलीज़ हो रही है. इस फिल्म के निर्देशक हैं बैरी सोनेनफील्ड और फिल्म में काम किया है लोकप्रिय अभिनेता विल स्मिथ, टॉमी ली जोंस और जोश ब्रोलिन ने.

इस फिल्म की पिछली दोनों सीरीज में भी थे अभिनेता विल स्मिथ. और अब दस साल बाद रिलीज़ होने वाली तीसरी सीरीज में भी दो बार के अकेडेमी अवार्ड से नामांकित विल स्मिथ अपने अभिनय से प्रशंसकों के दिलों पर जादू फैलाएगें.

लेकिन इस फिल्म की तीसरी सीरीज यानि ‘मेन इन ब्लैक ३’ को रिलीज़ होने में १० वर्ष का समय लगने पर विल स्मिथ कहते हैं कि, ‘जब दर्शक यह तीसरी सीरीज देखेगे तो उन्हें महसूस होगा कि यह फिल्म पिछली दोनों सीरीज से कितनी आगे है वैसे तो पुरानी फ़िल्में भी बहुत ही अच्छी थी लेकिन शायद यह सबसे अच्छी है और यह तो सब जानते हैं कि अच्छी फिल्म बनाने में वक्त तो लगता ही है.’

इस फिल्म “मेन इन ब्लैक ३” में दर्शकों को नया क्या देखने को मिलेगा ? पूछने पर विल कहते हैं, “मै सोचता हूँ कि फिल्म “मेन इन ब्लैक ३ ” का कांसेप्ट ही बिलकुल अलग है जो कि इस फिल्म को बाकी सारी फिल्मों से अलग बनाए रखता है. फिल्म में सीक्रेट एजेंट्स का ग्रुप है, एलियन हैं, एक्शन है, हास्य ,है कुछ अलग ग्रह और पृथ्वी है. इतना कुछ है इस फिल्म “मेन इन ब्लैक ३ ” में, जिसकी आप किसी भी दूसरी फिल्म से तुलना नही कर सकते हैं.”

क्या आज की पीढ़ी फिल्म “मेन इन ब्लैक ३” को पसंद करेगी ? के जवाब में विल स्मिथ का कहना है, “हाँ क्यों नही जरुर देखगे युवा दर्शक इस फिल्म को. क्योंकि उनको पसंद आने वाली सारी चीजे हैं इस फिल्म में. उच्च तकनीक, भरपूर हास्य है. जिन दर्शकों ने पुरानी दोनों सीरीज देखी है वो यह फिल्म देखगें. और जो नए दर्शक जो पहली ही बार इस फिल्म को देखेगे वो भी इस फिल्म का आनंद लेगें.यह मैं पता है.”

फिल्म “मेन इन ब्लैक ३” के बारे में बताते हुए विल ने कहा कि, “अगर आप फिल्म के फ्रेम से फ्रेम में जायेगें तो आपको चुटकुले और राजनीतिक व्यंग्य मिलेगें. फिल्म में इसके अलावा सबसे ज्यादा मज़ा आएगा रेट्रो एलियंस को देखने में. 60 के दशक के समय के मुताबिक डिजाइन किए गए हैं सभी एलियंस. आप जानते हैं रे ब्राडबर्री, इसाक असिमोव “स्टार ट्रेक” सीरियल वाले, जैसे उस सीरियल में एलियंस के सिर कांच के गेंद जैसा होता था. वैसा ही कुछ इस फिल्म में भी दर्शकों को देखने को मिलेगा. यह सब निर्देशक बैरी सोनेन फिल्ड की वजह से ही है इन सभी एलियंस को तैयार किया है मेकअप कलाकार रिक बेकर ने.”

इस फिल्म की विशेषता बताते हुए विल ने कहा कि, “ सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह है कि यह है इस फिल्म की यह फिल्म थ्री डी में है.थ्री डी का जादू तो हर किसी पर छाया है आप सभी जानते हैं.” टॉमी ली जोंस के साथ तो आपने पहले भी काम किया है इसमें जोश के साथ काम करना कैसा रहा ? “बहुत ही अच्छा, हम सबने सेट पर बहुत ही एन्जॉय किया, अच्छा अभिनेता है जोश” बताया विल ने.

Men in Black ³ of Sony Pictures is all set to release on May 25^th, 2012 all over India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. However, the man behind the success of its prequels-Director Barry Sonnenfeld- has his own jittery moments. The Director is much excited about the movie and wants it to garner as much love as its prequels. The third movie in the series of Men in Black will return to entertain the audience after 10 years.

Barry had envisioned to give the audience the taste of old film with a pinch of innovation which is why he says it took ten years to bring this movie before the audience. The film will have familiar characters and premise of the Men in Black and who they are. It will bring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back together. But will also have new and inventive element of Time travel.

The movie which will be in 3D will star Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. Barry seemed zealous as he spoke about his new lead star, “Young Agent K is played by Josh Brolin, who gives a sly, smart performance as Young K that channels Jones’ mannerisms and characterizations while also making the character his own. The performances were so consistent that it was hard for me to tell where Tommy Lee Jones ended and Josh Brolin began and that made me think as if I was directing one actor.”

Barry laughs as he recalls how the idea for the third film was born. He says, “Well, it’s funny because when we were shooting Men in Black 2, Will came up with the idea for Men in Black ³. And Will said to me one night, “Wouldn’t it be really cool if for Men in Black ³, Tommy Lee Jones’ character, Agent K, disappears in the present and I have to go back to the past to save him, and in doing so discover things I never knew.” That’s what he said. And it sounded like a great idea.”

The Men in Black movies are not just sci-fi but have a rare touch of comedy to it. The key tone to it to make the movie really funny, says Sonnenfeld, is for everyone to play it entirely straight. “I want the situations to be funny, but the performances to be real, so I don’t want the actors trying to be funny.  I don’t want the composer to think ‘comedy,’ because then the music will be comedy music.  I don’t even want the cinematographer or the lab that develops the film to think it’s a comedy, because the next thing I know, it’ll look too bright.  If I can surround the absurd situation with something real, it’ll be a great comedy.”

With the success of it prequels, the “play it straight” strategy of Barry, is sure a hit. But will this film also appeal to the audience? It will soon be decided once this Sony Pictures film releases on May 25^th, 2012.

No country for old men guy Josh Brolin is a new kid in the Men in Black Franchise.  Men in Black 3 which releases in 3D all over India on 25 ^Th May, also stars Josh along with Will and Tommy. Josh will be seen playing the character of young Agent K.

Josh certainly felt like the new guy on the block especially in the beginning not only because he had not worked with Will before but also because of the strong chemistry Will and Jones share on screen and off screen as well!

Josh was apprehensive of playing the character of young agent K as he recalls “I have fun with doing Nick Nolte or Tommy Lee Jones (impersonations), but really bad versions of them. And when I said yes for the role I started studying it, I went, ‘Boy, I said yes, what’s the matter with me, I’m trying to sabotage my career, what am I doing!’”

Talking about his role Josh said “It was much harder to play the character played by Tommy Lee Jones before for a lot of reasons. First of all, because it’s one of the greatest characters ever. It was a novelty when the movie came out, a fun, interesting character. If he says the same word twice it doesn’t sound the same. It’s not Tommy, it is K, and he has a ‘kayness’ that I had to play.”

However, the character of young agent K turns out to be open, friendly, and interested and is positively different from the dry, grumpy and reserved agent K.

Actor Abhimanyu Singh who was going to Patna for the promotion of his serial Upanishad Ganga bumped into director Anurag Kashyap who coincidentally was also going Patna for the promotion of his upcoming Film Gangs of Wasseypur at Mumbai airport.

Anurag who directed Abhimanyu’s first debut movie “Gulal” seemed keen to know about the serial Upanishad Ganga where Abhimanyu dons 33 different roles.

Replying to the queries Abhimanyu said, “It’s an amazing serial and to play 33 roles for a 52 episode serial was like an icing on the cake. And it has been a pleasure working under the guidance of Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.”

The serial Upanishad Ganga is currently been aired on DD every Sunday between 10:00 to 10:30 am.

The onscreen look on his face is usually the disheveled hair, blood thirsty eyes and a devilish smirk on the face. Well-known for his negative role in films like Gulal, Rakht Charitra, this guy is very opposite to what he portrays-cool, humble, sweet and approachable Abhimanyu Singh is what he really is!

Abhimanyu Singh hasn’t been much on small screen but he returns to the world of small screen with his ongoing serial Upanishad Ganga, produced by Chinmaya Mission and Directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the serial is currently running on DD.

Abhimanyu talks to us about such new ventures.

Firstly, tell us something about this new serial “Upanishad Ganga”, what is it all about?

The serial is based on the teachings of Upanishads. This serial will bring the audience closer to the Indian Philosophy and explain them the Vedas and Upanishads in the form of stories. The serial is a treasure trove of rare stories. The stories are old yet presented in a new format.

So what will be your character in this serial?

Well, I am playing 33 different characters in this serial. So you will see me in the avatar of Lord Krishna, Lord Indra, Emperor Ashoka and many more.

33 characters in one serial is quiet a score, so which one of these is your favourite character?

All the characters that I played were quite exciting but for some reason I liked playing Lord Indra. May be, because I could relate to him. His is more human than a god can be, with his own share of virtues and vices.

Now that we are talking about the characters, what is your dream role?

Oh! I would love to play the character of Maharana Pratap and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj someday.

Is it that you love to just work in strong, off beat films like Gulal and Rakht Charitra ?

It nothing like I work only in strong, off beat films. But I am willing to work in all kinds of films.

You come from Patna, so did you have to struggle a lot to get to this position?

Ups and downs are always there. But it was much of a trouble for me. I hail fromPatnabut I moved toDelhifor my graduation. When in college I often worked in college dramas. And later realizing it as a career goal, I moved to Mumbai. Here I took proper theatre training and while doing theatres my work got noticed. After which the offers started flowing in.

Talking about serial, did it take a lot of preparations for the kind of characters you portrayed?

Preparations weren’t much except what I usually do for every character that I play. Since I believe in method acting, I research before portraying any character. For me creative satisfaction is very important. I get into the skin of the character so as to make it more alive and realistic.

So is that why they call you “Critics’ Favourite Baby”?

(Laughs) They call me that? Well, maybe that’s because I put in all my sweat and blood into the work that I do. And not just me, but any actor who works this way towards the characters he plays, his performance will be remembered for ages even though the movie failed to hit the score in box office.

Coming back to Upanishad Ganga how was the experience of working in it?

It was the most enriching and difficult experience of my career. I have grown as an actor with this serial. For me this serial is more like a service to art. And working with Director like Dr Dwivedi was yet another pleasurable experience for me.

Finally I would like to ask you about your forth coming projects.

I am working with RGV in Department. In Department I play negative role that has positive shades.Also I have done an item number in this movie (smiles).Apart from Department I am working in Telugu remake of “Dabbang” and in a movie called Alaap directed by a debutant director Manish Manikpuri.

In the sweltering heat of Mumbai the delight to the eyes was the beautiful ensemble of cotton brought forth by Fashion Show CottonScape 2012, the aim of which was to showcase innovation in cotton design and application. Designer Rina Dhaka and Anita Dongre along with Designer Brand Provogue presented their cotton collection for the summer. The show was opened by Anita Dongre’s collection followed by Spring summer 2012 collection preview of Provogue and the last show was put up by Rina Dhaka. In between the shows the awards to the patrons of cotton were given. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s heart stopperGeeta Basra was the celebrity show stopper for Provogue along with Tv star Rakesh Bapat. Rakesh was seen in a casual yet formal attire of denim jeans over a white t-shirt matched up well with grey suit while Geeta dazzled in black top and  white denim shorts. Jiyah Khan walked the ramp for Rina Dhaka.

Present for the night were the sparkles of film industry like Rangeela girlUrmila Matondkar, Sangeeta Bijlani and many more TV celebrities. Sangeeta was seen in a grey floral gown and Urmila wore a red short dress. The fashion fraternity’s Designers Masaba Gupta, Rahul Mishra, Narendra Kumar, Hemant Sagar and Didier Lecoanetwere awarded for their achievements in the fashion world. Along with them Provogue’s Akhil Chaturvedi, Designer Nandita Mehtani, Venus’s Champak Jain, Cotton council International(CCI)’s Programming Head Agnieszka Fijol and Sachit Bhatia.

The show was followed by cocktail dinner and saw presence of Page 3 celebrities as well. Dressed in sexy shimmering outfits female crowd braced the male crowd who looked pretty decent in their usual formal evening attires.
