The director of the film ‘Modhyoborti Alinde’ Krishno Kumar Mukhopadhyay has said that short film makers need to be encouraged since like short stories, short films also have something important to say. Addressing a press conference at the media centre here today, he said that his film ‘Modhyoborti Alinde’ is not a linear storytelling and in it the past and present often get overlapped.

The film showcases the relationship that develops over the years between a private tutor, Kishore and a rickshaw-puller, Budhua on whose rickshaw he travels daily. Budhua has to leave this job and it is then that Kishore realizes the bonding he had with Budhua. It gives him an opportunity to introspect and he realizes the significance of Budhua, his innocence and simplicity.
