People are yearning for animation films. Animation is still a growing phenomena and it is here to stay, said Hugh Welchman, the Oscar winning producer. Addressing a press conference on his movie ‘The Flying Machine’ at the media centre here today, he said, the movie is a magical journey in 3D Stereoscopic. It is essentially a European movie with a Polish, Chinese and Indian co-production.

‘The Flying Machine’ is produced by Hugh Welchman and directed by Martin Clapp, Dorota Kobiela and Geoff Lindsey. It commemorates the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birthday. The film takes the eternally fascinating and affecting Etudes and crafts a celebration of the role that music and dance play in human lives.

Hugh Welchman is the founder and MD of Breakthru Films in UK. He has produced a feature-length documentary and short films, winning top festival Prizes, twice making Official Selection for Cannes and being short listed for a BAFTA. Hugh was the producer of ‘Peter & The Wolf’ and received the Oscar for Best Short Animation Film at the Academy Awards 2008.
