Ashok Gehlot declared Rs. 5 lakh reward from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fuel tanker driver Shri Lakshmanram Choudhary who had averted a major incident on Saturday.

Shri Gehlot on Sunday called Shri Lakhmanram, congratulated him and appreciated the courage he had shown. He said a big incident could be averted because of his courage and presence of mind.

It is evident that Shri Choudhary drove the burning fuel tanker to an isolated place from a petrol pump at Ratanada circle, Jodhpur on Saturday evening without caring for his life and averted a big accident which could have happened if the fire had spread. Honouring his courage and cleverness the Chief Minister has declared reaward of Rs. 5 lakh.

The Chief Minister had earlier also declared reward of Rs. 5 lakh to fuel tanker driver Nasir Khan for the courage he had shown by speeding off the burning fuel tanker on April 26, 2011 in Jodhpur.
