Utilization of Valuable Land Resources of Ailing PSUs

In order to revive sick Central Public Sector Enterprises(CPSEs), Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) after considering the proposals submitted to it by their administrative ministries/departments recommend revival/restructuring packages for their revival that may include utilization of surplus land for financing the revival packages/generating additional revenue. BRPSE had, inter alia, recommended, based on the proposals, utilization of surplus land for financing the revival package/generating additional revenue in case of Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Hindustan Photo Films Manufacturing Co. Ltd. as given in Annex. In case of Hindustan Cables Ltd., BRPSE had recommended its revival in association with public sector or private sector party failing which complete disinvestment after cleaning up its balance sheet.
