Magomedov briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in Daghestan, in particular the employment situation and schools’ preparations for the new academic year, spoke about the state of progress in carrying out a number of big investment projects in the agriculture sector, including international projects, and presented a project to establish a sturgeon breeding centre.  Mr Magomedov also informed Mr Medvedev about the measures being taken in Daghestan to counter terrorism and extremism and the efforts to get religious organisations and civil society institutions involved in this work.
