Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda today described former Chief Minister, Mr.Om Parkash Chautala as the most corrupt and the biggest property dealer not only of Haryana but also of whole of the country. He said that there was no country in the world where Chautala families did not have property. Everybody in the country would come to know about it after the CBI report.
Mr. Hooda was addressing a mammoth “Vikas Rally” at village Badshahpur in district Gurgaon. The rally was organized by Rao Dharampal, MLA from Badshahpur.
The Chief Minister said that he did not need a certificate of honesty from a leader who has been charge-sheeted by CBI. He said, “Although he is not in the habit of criticizing others, the former Chief Minister and INLD Supremo Ch.Om Parkash Chautala and Mr.Kuldeep Bishnoi, the son of former Chief Minister, Mr.Bhajan Lal had been issuing ridiculous statement for the last few days”.
Taking a dig at Mr.Om Parkash Chautala and Mr.Kuldeep Bishnoi for issuing statements that all the sections of the society were annoyed with the Congress Government, Mr.Hooda said that all the sections of the society were happy with the policies of the state government, however one section – son of Ch.Bhajan Lal, Mr.Kuldeep Bishnoi and elder son of Ch.Devi Lal and his two sons were annoyed with the government and they would remain so because their loot had come to an end. They wanted “chair” and people would not give them “chair”. How they could be happy in such a situation, he asked.
Lashing out at Mr.Chautala, the Chief Minister said that today Mr.Chautala was criticizing Land Acquisition Policy of Haryana while during his tenure the land of the farmers was acquired at a rate of Rs.2.50 lakh per acre. Citing an example, he said that Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP Express way) fell in three states. Its 50 per cent parts fell in Delhi and 25 per cent in each Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The INLD government gave in writing to the Central Government to acquire land of the farmers for this express way by giving compensation to the farmers at a rate of Rs.2.50 lakh and total compensation amount was assessed at Rs.160 crore. Thereafter Congress Government took over the reins of the administration in the state and gave a compensation of Rs.650 crore to the farmers and as such farmers were benefitted to the tune of Rs.500 crore in a single project, the KMP express way. He asked the people to raise their hands if they were in favour of land acquisition policy implemented during the tenure of Mr. Chautala. Should I implement the policy of Mr.Chautala if it was beneficial, he asked. On this all the people present in the rally refused by waiving their hands. The Chief Minister said that he had asked the same question in a public meeting held at Kharkhoda the other day and the people of that area also refused by saying that they would be ruined.
He said that the land acquisition policy of Haryana was the best not only in the state but also in the world. Under the policy, the land owners were given amount of compensation for land, residential plots and royality for 33 years.
Mr. Hooda said that during the last six years, he has implemented people friendly schemes for all the sections of the society. Haryana has formulated many such schemes which are being appreciated at the national and international level.
He said that the population of the state of Haryana is less than the two per cent of the country but its players have won about 40 per cent of the medals in the Commonwealth Games.
