A Joint Statement between the Ministry of Human Resources Development of the Government of India and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skill on behalf of the Government and the Devolved Administrations of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was signed on 13th January, 2010 to strengthen institutional links at all levels of the education sector i.e. elementary education, secondary education, post-secondary education and professional education.
Apart from Join Statement, 7 MoUs between educational institutions from India and their counterpart institutions in UK, were also signed earlier this year. While some of the MoUs are between specific institutions in India and the UK, other collaborations relate to different activities for development of the education sector and will benefit wider students community.
