The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mr. David Cameron will be paying a State Visit to India on July 27-29, 2010. In Bangalore, his programme includes visits to HAL, Infosys, Narayana Health City and a meeting with Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka before he reaches New Delhi for official engagements on July 29, 2010. He will be accompanied by Mr. William Hague, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs; Mr. George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer; Dr. Vincent Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills; Mr. Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport; Mr. David Wiletts, MOS for Universities and Science; Mr. Gregory Barker, MOS for Deptt for Energy and Climate Change; and Sir Peter Ricketts, National Security Advisor. The Ministers would also separately visit Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore before joining their Prime Minister in New Delhi. The Prime Minister would also be accompanied by a delegation including CEOs of leading business houses, Vice Chancellors of reputed universities, other dignitaries and senior officials.
Besides delegation level talks with the Prime Minister, PM Cameron will call on the President and the Vice President. External Affairs Minister and Leader of the Opposition will call on PM Cameron.
