उपराष्ट्रपति ने किया ‘दक्षिण एशिया में इस्लाम’ पुस्तक श्रृंखला का विमोचन

नई दिल्ली. उपराष्ट्रपति एम. हामिद अंसारी ने आज यहां प्रो. मुशीरुल हसन द्वारा सम्पादित ‘दक्षिण एशिया में इस्लाम’ शीर्षक से पुस्तक श्रृंखला विमोचन किया.
इस मौक़े पर उपराष्ट्रपति कहा कि हम ऐसे युग में रह रहे हैं, जिसमें इस्लाम के उसूलों को लेकर विश्व के विभिन्न भागों में अनेक तरह की गलतफहमियां पैदा हो गई हैं. किसी आशंका की दिमागी उपज ने समय के साथ धर्म और संस्कृति के गंभीर अध्ययन का स्थान ले लिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि दक्षिण एशिया में इस्लाम पर इस पुस्तक श्रृंखला का प्रकाशन इसलिए सामयिक है. विश्व के क़रीब एक अरब 57 करोड़ मुसलमानों में से लगभग 48 करोड़ मुसलमान दक्षिण एशिया में रहते हैं. क़रीब एक हज़ार साल तक उन्होंने अन्य धर्मों और संस्कृतियों के लोगों के साथ विचारों का आदान-प्रदान किया है. उनका अनुभव विशिष्ट है और उनका योगदान भी उल्लेखनीय है. इन पुस्तकों का गंभीरता से अध्ययन करने से अनेक मिथकों और रूढिवादी धारणाओं को समाप्त करने में सहायता मिलेगी.
