चंडीगढ़ में सुधरा लिंग अनुपात

चंडीगढ़. केवल आर्थिक संकेतक ही छोटे से चंडीगढ़ शहर के सबसे अलग खड़ा नहीं करते, बल्कि सामाजिक क्षेत्र में किए गए कार्यों ने भी इसे सबसे अलग खड़ा किया है। किसी भी शहर के सामाजिक स्वास्थ्य को प्रदर्शित करने के प्रमुख संकेतकों में से लिंग अनुपात भी एक है। यूटी स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा किए गए सर्वे के अनुसार वर्ष 2001 में सम्पूर्ण लिंग अनुपात 777 था, जबकि 0-6 आयुवर्ग का चाइल्ड लिंग अनुपात 845 था, जो बढ़कर 882 हो गया है।
जिला परिवार कल्याण अधिकारी डॉ. कविता तलवार ने बताया कि गत वर्षो में चंडीगढ़ में गिरते लिंग अनुपात में अब सुधार होना आरम्भ हो गया है। आर्श्यजनक तथ्य है कि चंडीगढ़ के स्लमस ने लिंग अनुपात के क्षेत्र में शहरी और ग्रामीण दोनों क्षेत्रों के लोगों को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। डॉ. तलवार ने बताया कि पीजीआईएमईआर द्वारा 2006 में किए गए बेस लाइन सर्वे के अनुसार 0-12 माह के बच्चों की श्रेणी में स्लमस में लिंग अनुपात 1500 था, जबकि चंडीगढ़ के शहरी क्षेत्र में 913 और ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में 546 था। 1-6 वर्ष के बच्चों में स्लम क्षेत्रों में लिंग अनुपात 1030 था, जबकि शहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में क्रमश: 780 और 1037 था।
यूटी स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा कॉलोनी नं0-5, सारंगपुर गांव, बापूधाम कॉलोनी, सेक्टर-40, एसबीएस कॉलोनी, मौली कॉम्पलेक्स, विकास नगर में 2007 में करवाए गए सर्वे में लिंग अनुपात से संबंधित विभिन्न मापकों को कवर किया गया। सर्वे में यह निष्कर्ष निकला कि लिंग अनुपात के मामले में स्लम क्षेत्र शहरी और ग्रामीण दोनों क्षेत्रों से आगे हैं। शहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में क्रमश: 847 और 853 के मुकाबले स्लमस में यह 901 था। 2007 में सम्पूर्ण चाइल्ड लिंग अनुपात 882 था। यह भी बताया गया कि कॉलोनी नं0-5 में 0-1 वर्ष के बच्चों में लड़कियों की संख्या लड़को से ज्यादा थी।
इस सर्वे में 20542 की जन आबादी के साथ 5100 घरों को कवर किया गया। 0-6 वर्ष के बच्चों की संख्या 4004 थी। 0-1 आयुवर्ग में लड़कियों की संख्या 1044 और लड़को की संख्या 1000थी। 1-3 आयुवर्ग में यह 957 और 3-6 आयुवर्ग में यह 855 थी।
लिंग अनुपात में सुधार के दावों की मजबूती के लिए स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने आईसीडीएस योजना के तहत 7 डॉक्टरों की टीम नियुक्त की। टीम ने चंडीगढ़ की 370 आंगनवाड़ियों का दौरा किया और बच्चों की जांच की। निष्कर्षो में पता चला कि इन आंगनवाड़ियों में 34382 बच्चे एनरोल किए गए थे। 0-3 आयुवर्ग में 20572 (11037 लड़के और 9810 लड़कियां) बच्चों में लिंग अनुपात 888 था। 3-6 आयु वर्ग में 13839 (6784 लड़के और 7075 लड़कियां) बच्चों में लिंग अनुपात 1042 था। आंगनवाड़ियों में एनरोलड बच्चों का संपूर्ण लिंग अनुपात 947 था।
