अग्नि- 2 मिसाइल का परीक्षण

भुवनेश्वर (उड़ीसा). भारतीय परीक्षण सेना और रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) ने कल धामरा के नजदीक व्हीलर्स द्वीप के पास परमाणु हथियार ले जाने में सक्षम मिसाइल ‘अग्नि-II’ का परीक्षण किया.
धरती से धरती पर मारक क्षमता वाली इस मिसाइल की रेंज 2000 किलोमीटर है। सेना के प्रायोगिक परीक्षण के लिए इंटीग्रेटेड मिसाइल डवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम का महत्वपूर्ण भाग बैलेस्टिक मिसाईल अग्नि-2 बीस मीटर लंबी है। मिसाइल का वजन 16 टन है, जिसमें 1000 किलो का पेलोड डाला जा सकता है।
